About us
SD Mission is an Australian public benevolent institution (PBI) registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Our team is a small group of volunteers dedicated to humbly serve with respect and dignity our fellow beings who need a hand in their challenging time.
Most of us are based in Canberra, Australia and volunteer alongside our full/part time employment.
Some consideration for volunteering
There are two main ways that people choose a volunteer role. One is to choose an organisation or cause that is close to your own heart and you want to help. The second is to choose a volunteer role based on the skills you want to use or gain.
You should also consider that the organisation primary objects match your own values and beliefs.
Think about your own motivations for volunteering, how much time you can commit and what you hope to achieve through volunteering. This will help you to choose a role that is a good match for you.
Volunteer roles can be one off, short term and long term opportunities.
Volunteering with SD Mission
We will look at your strengths, motivations and availability for volunteering and discuss with you availability of suitable roles.
We can be flexible with roles and times that suit your interests, motivation, availability and location.
