SD Mission
Who are we
SD Mission is a PBI registered with ACNC since its inception.
We are a group of volunteers mostly still working in our respective professions & dedicated to serve our fellow beings who need a hand in their challenging time.
Our Focus
Our vision is to serve with Humility, Respect and Dignity. Our programs are focussed primarily on financially disadvantaged, vulnerable, aged and isolated.
Our primary objects
Support aged people to alleviate their isolation
- Support with food the destitute people and those at risk of becoming destitute
- Support destitute people with dignified simple funeral
- Education support for orphans and destitute children
- Raise funds for disaster relief
Our Journey
We are gradually picking up new service opportunities and expanding our activities along the lines of our objects as our volunteer capacity and funds availability increases.
During Covid-19 period, we ran a campaign in Australia to assist orphans from covid-19 in India. All other activities have been in Australia and for Australians.
We have run some programs free of cost for seniors and also offered cab vouchers to financially disadvantaged senior citizens to participate.
We run a number of Yoga and Meditation programs on mixed pattern. Some programs are completely free of cost to participants and some are running on a partial cost recovery basis to sustain the program for long term.
Yoga and Meditation not only has physical, mental health and spiritual benefits, we believe participation will alleviate isolation for some, thus improving their overall well-being, which is one of the objects of SD Mission.
We run Ayurvedic Health Consultation clinic free of cost once every week.

Volunteers and funds
We are actively looking for more volunteers in an environment where volunteer availability has depleted significantly in Australia in recent years.
Availability of more funds will also enable us to launch the programs in our pipeline with confidence of sustaining them for long-term.
